Helping people living in poverty is about friendships—people walking with people.
Poverty isn’t about a lack of stuff—it’s the result of broken relationships. By walking alongside people who are poor, we can all experience the healing power of Jesus in our broken relationships.

But what if you don't know anyone who is poor?
As society grows increasingly divided along socioeconomic lines, it’s easy to find yourself living, working, and worshipping with people just like you. When that happens, you miss out on the chance to live out the Kingdom of God!

Take small steps toward big changes.
This isn't a course to give you new strategies for outreach or ministry (though you might get there from here) but about resetting your heart for the poor and your assumptions about ministry. The church is a family, not a business, and we can all use a reminder that this fact needs to inform all our ministries.
